PeaceWeavers - Inspiring Greater Peace and Wellness

A Peace & Healing community,

committed to compassionate living and conscious evolution

for ourselves, the Earth, and all her peoples.

Dedicated for 15 years to a New Paradigm of Peace,

one that is not against, but for All Beings in the Circle of Life.

The PeaceWeavers are an extended community of people from different cultures and spiritual practices. The core community was birthed at the start of the 1991 Persian Gulf War by people who wanted to activate greater peace in their lives and the world. We started to meet and express our feelings in Talking Stick Circles. Soon we were invited to schools and community groups to share this form of self-empowerment which fosters peace and understanding instead of prejudice and conflict.

In Circle, which welcomes all ages and traditions, each can share from their heart and practice listening which leads to a greater sensitivity. Though simple, this provides a profound experience of  insight and healing for those present. We are convinced that clear communication is the foundation of functional community and lasting peace.

Since 1994, we have been a non-profit educational corporation offering a variety of service-oriented activities. We welcome the public to talking stick circles, retreats, and seasonal gatherings at our Sanctuary in the Finger Lakes Region of western New York. We train teachers to use Talking Stick Circle as a tool to build community in the classroom, and offer intensives for communities entitled ‘Activating the Power of Peace and Healing’.

Over the years we have led several Peace and Healing Caravans throughout North America. We visit people in cities, the country, and at Native Nations (reservations) with a focus on weaving people and cultures together. We have found that honoring and acknowledging people for their own tradition and understanding brings deep healing and peace for all.

Our mission is to promote greater peace and wellness by providing a center of functional community that offers gatherings, healing work, retreats and intensives.  We direct our focus to our beautiful, precious planet and actively support her healing through sustainable living practices. With all we do, we encourage people to wake up to who they truly are, do their best, and create a better world for our children and the generations to come.

The PeaceWeavers are a 501c3 not-for-profit corporation. All contributions to the PeaceWeavers are fully tax-deductible.
